Training Protocols

Clothing

At all times when on a motorcycle the following must be worn:

An approved helmet which must be fastened at all times
Sturdy footwear or boots that offer ankle protection
A textile or leather jacket
Motorcycle gloves
A high viz fluorescent vest

(Please note any areas of exposed skin is not acceptable)

Student’s own motorcycle

If a student is using their own motorcycle it must be roadworthy, taxed, insured and MOTd if applicable

Experienced Students

Every student, irrespective of experience, will be assessed initially on a 125 cc motorcycle. It is the at the instructor’s discretion when a student can move on to a category A or A2 machine.

The Instructor’s word is final!

Fees ( Dec. 2019)

125cc CBT £180 inc. lunch if completed in 1 day
(Thereafter £35/hour)

Category A or A2 CBT £35/hour

CBT Certificate Fee £10 (If lost a duplicate costs £20)

125cc Training £35/hour

Category A or A2 training £35/hour

Loan of bike for Tests £70 including 1 hour pre test lesson


Please Note fees for the theory test & both practical tests are paid directly to the DVA

Cancellation Policy

A 50% cancellation fee will apply if less than 48 hours notice is given
A 100% cancellation fee will apply if less than 24 hours notice is given

(These cancellation fees will be waived if the training slot is subsequently filled by another student)

Advanced Lessons

£35/hour (assuming student using their own bike)

Test fees paid to IAM & ROSPA directly
